Job Title: Electrical/ Battery Engineer lll

Overview:
An Electrical Battery Engineer III is a mid-to-senior technical expert focused on designing, testing, and optimizing advanced battery systems. The role ensures safe, efficient, and high-performance energy storage for applications like electric vehicles, renewable energy, aerospace, and consumer electronics.

Responsibilities & Duties
  • Design, develop, and manage all aspects of low and high voltage batteries including battery management systems and thermal management.
 
  • Advanced knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the electrical engineering field
  • Research and implement next-gen battery tech, charging solutions, and smart features. 
  • Integrate electrical components with vehicle hardware and software for networking protocols and smart monitoring.
  • Create circuit designs, perform simulations (MATLAB, Simulink), and analyze data for performance and safety.
  • Conduct hardware and functional testing, ensuring EMC compliance.
  • Coordinate and direct the work of others

Skills and Requirements:
  • Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline plus minimum of 6 years related experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot complex technical challenges in a fast-evolving industry.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with diverse internal and external teams. 
  • Experience with electrical CAD tools (e.g., Altium Designer), simulation software like MATLAB/Simulink, and potentially programming languages like C++ or Python.

Physical Requirements
 
  • Computer use: prolonged sitting, typing, screen work
  • Lab work: standing, assembling test setups, monitoring equipment
  • Lifting: occasional handling of batteries/equipment up to ~25–30 lbs
  • Dexterity: precise handling of small components and wiring
  • Mobility: walking between lab stations and test areas
  • Safety gear: gloves, goggles, lab coats; strict electrical/chemical safety protocols
  • Vision/Hearing: read schematics, monitor displays, respond to alarms
  • Position requires U.S. citizenship due to ITAR regulations
